Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of this site and your registration for YJP Convention 2026.
Last updated: May 30, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account or registering for the Convention. They also work alongside our Privacy Policy and the Convention Rules & Regulations.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the YJP Convention 2026 website and your registration for and attendance at the YJP Convention 2026 ("Convention"), organized by Young Jain Professionals ("YJP," "we," "us," or "our"), a program operated under the Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
By creating an account, registering for the Convention, or otherwise using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or register for the Convention.
2. Eligibility
The Convention is intended for young Jain professionals and adults of legal age in their jurisdiction. By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to register on your own behalf.
3. Accounts
To register, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported sign-in provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Registration, Tickets & Capacity
Registration is confirmed only once payment is successfully completed and you receive a confirmation. Registration is personal to you and may not be transferred, resold, or assigned without our prior written consent.
The Convention has limited capacity. Spots are held temporarily during checkout and released if payment is not completed within the hold window. We reserve the right to manage a waitlist and to close registration at any time.
5. Pricing, Payments & Fees
Ticket prices, tiers, and any applicable discounts are displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card details on our servers.
Where offered, you may optionally elect to cover transaction processing fees so that the full ticket amount supports the Convention. Prices are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
Because YJP is a nonprofit and incurs non-recoverable costs based on confirmed registrations, all sales are generally final. Any refund or transfer requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are at our sole discretion. To make a request, contact us.
If the Convention is canceled by the organizers, we will communicate available options to registered attendees.
7. Code of Conduct
All attendees must comply with the Convention Rules & Regulations and conduct themselves respectfully toward other attendees, speakers, volunteers, staff, and venue personnel. We reserve the right to remove any attendee who violates these rules or behaves in a manner that is unsafe, disruptive, or harmful, without refund.
8. Photography & Media
The Convention may be photographed, filmed, or recorded. By attending, you grant YJP and its affiliates the right to capture and use your image, likeness, and voice in promotional, educational, and archival materials without compensation. If you have concerns, contact us in advance.
9. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
You attend the Convention voluntarily and assume all risks associated with attendance, including travel to and from the venue and participation in activities. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release YJP, JAINA, and their officers, directors, volunteers, and partners from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising out of your attendance, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and the "Reinventing Your Wheel" branding — is the property of YJP or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or use it without prior written permission.
11. Changes to the Event
Programming, speakers, schedule, venue details, and other aspects of the Convention may change. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to registered attendees but are not liable for changes beyond our reasonable control.
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The website and the Convention are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, YJP's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Convention will not exceed the amount you paid for your registration.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in California.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the site or attendance at the Convention after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
